A-Rod and J Lo List New York Condo

Celebrity Homes

Power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez will be listing the condo they bought a year ago. It is a huge 4,000 square feet condo in the tallest residential building in the western hemisphere. The apartment is on the 36th floor of the 96-floor tall building and costs $15.3 million, which is $2.2 million less than its asking price of $17.5 million from a year ago.

Located at 432 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, the condo has three bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. When a property like this hits the market it has everyone wanting to know how to become a luxury real estate agent.  It is the second tallest building after One World Trade Center in New York as it is 1,396 feet tall. Technically the residential building is taller because of its spire. It is only 150 feet taller than the Empire State Building. Rafael Viñoly, a well-known Uruguayan architect, has designed the project, which is being constructed by CIM Group and Macklowe Properties.  Three isn’t many properties like this in New York, let alone real estate in Dallas or Atlanta.

The building has 104 units in total with the prices ranging from $7 million to $87.6 million for the penthouse, which was purchased by Saudi Arabian billionaire Fawaz Al Hokair. They are priced at $4,371 per square feet. He was one of the people on the Forbes Billionaires list but was recently dropped as his bank accounts were frozen because of corruption crackdown.

If You Had My Love

The couple loved their apartment, but it was too small for them when they had all four kids staying with them. They listed the apartment for its original asking price in the third week of January. They are a big family, so they needed something bigger. The house is listed with Modlin Group’s Adam D Modlin. Want to know some cool facts about the building?

It has private elevators that take residents directly into their condo. They are designed to work faster than most elevators and will take you from the ground floor to the penthouse in just 60 seconds. The apartment comes with built-in high-end Miele stainless steel appliances sealed with white lacquer and natural oak cabinet facets to maintaining a chic, industrial look. All bedrooms have corner windows that offer uninterrupted views of New York City. The master bedroom has dual bathrooms finished with marble vanities, heated floors, and oversized sinks.

You would be wondering how 4,000 square feet of isn’t space enough for four kids and two adults. That’s because the other two bedrooms are smaller than an average-sized luxury bedroom, but they do come with en-suite bathrooms. One kid can fit comfortably, but if you have to keep two kids in one bedroom, things will start getting a little cramped.

Feelin’ So Good

It goes without saying that the high-rise building comes with a plethora of luxurious amenities. Will it make you jealous if we say that it has a 75-foot indoor pool? The list further includes a private resident restaurant, yoga studio, state-of-art gym, board room, theatre, and a full-service concierge. The restaurant has a terrace seating area and offers in-home dining as well. If you thought the list was over, then you are wrong. We have some more amenities like a conference room, library, library, steam room, sauna, and spa with massage therapy to add to the list. There’s also a special children’s playroom, dedicated valet services, wine cellar, bike room, maid service, storage units, roof deck, and an onsite garage.

The apartment has seven rooms in total with the living and dining room offering Northern and Eastern exposures, making it the perfect spot for hosting parties. The bedroom is the farthest from the entertainment section for secluded privacy and comfort.

Love Don’t Cost A Thing

That’s great because maintaining a luxury apartment like this does! The management charges $8,331 per month as community fees, but that isn’t a lot for celebrities like Lopez and Rodriguez. As for the celebrity couple, they continue to own a boxy architectural in Los Angeles, which is worth $6.5 million. Alex bought it from Meryl Streep back in 2015 at $4.8 million. J Lo has her own rustic-ritzy Stone Canyon eight-acre compound, which is worth over $28 million. She has another spread in the Hamptons’ Water Mill area and another 6,500 square feet duplex penthouse near Madison Square Park. Its current price is over $27 million. Rodriguez has 1.5 acres spread in Coral Gables, Florida, which the star custom-built itself. It was even featured and photographed by Architectural Digest.
